Racquets

Practice and Play Year-Round

Allegheny Country Club boasts some of the most comprehensive facilities and programming in Western Pennsylvania with a tradition of racquet sports beginning in 1895. Our unique indoor and outdoor facilities give members the opportunity to enjoy multiple racquet sports all year long including tennis, platform tennis, and pickleball.

Facilities:

Indoor Tennis Building:
Originally built in 1935, the indoor tennis building features two Rebound Ace Grand Slam courts which are used for both tennis and pickleball. The distinctive, historic facility also houses a players' lounge, pro shop, and courtside viewing deck.

Outdoor Tennis Courts:
The Club’s four Har-Tru, Hydrogrid courts are open from mid-April through October. Their unique elevated positioning provides scenic views of the surrounding areas as well as close proximity to the indoor tennis building.

Platform Tennis Facility:
Built in 2006, the players' building is centrally located to all four courts, and the elevated viewing area provides panoramic views of every court. The regular platform tennis season runs from September through March, although it is quickly becoming a year-round sport.

Competition and Social:

With three racquet sports, the Club’s annual schedule quickly fills with a mix of competitive and social events for every player. Member favorites include the 4th of July Parent-Child Round Robin, Fall Paddle Classic, Couples Date Nights, and many more. Numerous opportunities for interclub team play are also available.

Programs and Lessons:

From clinics to private lessons, the Club’s teaching professionals provide expert tennis, platform tennis, and pickleball instruction fostering individual development within a sociable environment. Members can take advantage of private and semi-private lessons or small group sessions. Programming highlights include a comprehensive junior tennis program, junior platform and pickleball clinics, cardio tennis, and women's clinics in all three sports.
